Preparations

Assemble tools: screwdriver, wire stripper. FAILURE TO READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING OR OPERATING THIS CONTROL COULD CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

This thermostat for low voltage systems; do not use with line voltage.

Thermostat Details

Features: Heat program storage, backlit display, temperature override, manual HOLD, temporary HOLD, °F/°C, separate 5-day/1-day/1-day programming with 4 periods/day, RH/W/G terminals, preprogrammed, LCD displays setpoint/time/temp, battery powered (2 AA).

Buttons and Switches:

  1. Up arrow: Raises temp.
  2. Down arrow: Lowers temp.
  3. TIME button.
  4. PRGM button.
  5. RUN button.
  6. HOLD button.
  7. FAN switch (ON/AUTO).
  8. SYSTEM switch (OFF/HEAT).

Display:

Removing Old Thermostat

Disconnect power. Remove cover/base/subbase. Label/disconnect wires. DO NOT LET WIRES FALL BACK INTO WALL.

Mounting and Wiring

Gently pull cover off base. Connect wires to terminals.

  1. Place base over wall hole, mark mounts.
  2. Drill holes, fasten base level.
  3. Push wires in, plug hole with insulation.

Check Operation

Touch side to release static. Contact service if issues.

Heating System

  1. SYSTEM to HEAT, light pilot if needed.
  2. Up arrow above room temp, system operates.
  3. Down arrow below, stops.

Programming

Plan 4 periods/day for weekday/Sat/Sun. Cooler when vacant.

Factory: Weekday 6AM 70F, 8AM 62F, 5PM 70F, 10PM 62F; Sat/Sun similar.

Set Time/Day: TIME, adjust hour/min/day.

Enter Heating Program: SYSTEM HEAT, PRGM, adjust 4 periods for weekday/Sat/Sun.

Check: PRGM view, RUN start.
